Random Stuff: Color Me Creative.

I thought for this random post I'd share a couple of  colorful pictures...however if you think about it, its not all that random considering spring is on the way. In my defense of my randomness I was thinking about colorful colors before spring arrived.

So hide you whites because we're about to dive into a pool of pretty colors.

Can you say Ooolaa :D

Just to Support the randomness of this post I randomly chucked in some fall pics of fantastic oranges and yellows!

Rain, the bane of my artistic existence.

Tomorrow is the first day of landscape painting in my acrylic painting class. I was super excited over the Easter break thinking about this project, I couldn't wait. I mean it's landscape painting! There's something so free about standing in the warm spring air and painting the beauty of the sky and your surrounds.

Yeah, that was until I found out it's supposed to rain tomorrow and the rest of this week...alot...Really?! Right now? it has to rain right now?! *frustrated sigh*

...So naturally I vented my frustration at mother nature to no avail. When I finished, I remembered several of my favorite paintings contain rain. For example Leonid Afremov, he knows how to make the most of rain.

SO magical...
It's almost all he paints.

However, I don't think he actually stands out in the rain holding an umbrella over an easel as he tries to paint...that's just crazy.

Oh sigh, I suppose sacrifices must be made for ones passion...but rain really? I'm already one of those people who can't stand the rain and now I'm going to have to stand in the rain. Fate is funny sometimes...

So, tell me have you ever painted in the rain? Do you like any stormy weather paintings? Are you a rain person or like me have just resigned to the fact that it happens?

Drinks for the Season.

Just because Christmas has ended that does not mean all the goodies and warm beverages have to end as well.

No, I do protest. You need something to toast the New Year with.

As long as the weather is cold enough to warrant it I shall be making warm tasty drinks :D
Mainly, because I found too many delicious recipes that I haven't had the time to make.

Here are few drinks that I really really must try making.

Okay, I know what you're thinking, this is not a drink but you can't have all these beverages and nothing with it ^_^

I've always wanted to decorate my cocoa with something fancier than marshmallows.

So tell me, what is your favorite cold weather drink? Have you tried any of the above? Did you like it? How was your Holiday? Looking forward to the New Year?

Cheers,

So Very Gilty...

I was going through my emails early today when I was lured into the edible holiday gift section on Gilt, by these delicious photos...

I know a candy bandit that would just totally enjoy (devour!) this sweet variety pack :)

This yummy macaroon set is one of my favorites from the Gilt-Taste gift guide, I just love the delicious creamy colors!

Do you have any favorite holiday sweeties you just can't live without? Did you know Gilt had an edible section??? I didn't! Where have I been hiding all this time :P
